Kiss My Face Natural Man 4 in 1 Shave Review

Kiss My Face Natural Man 4 in 1 Shave is directed toward men’s shaving. Did they hit the target? How does it compete against the current line up from Kiss my Face? These are the questions I asked myself when I grabbed this off the shelf in the men’s section of my local Whole Foods grocery store. I have always been a fan of KMF shave soaps. A few years ago they made a change that had me questioning their future. A member of The Wet Shaver’s Review told me to face lather the cream and I will admit it worked wonders. So, will this new product directed at us men be at least on par?

Kiss My Face Natural Man 4 in 1 Shave
Invigorating Aqua Scent

Kiss My Face Natural Man

Packaging

Modern, easy to get just the right amount. Can’t really go wrong with this style packaging unless you are looking for that old-timey feel. I prefer the look of the labels on their other cremes. This one reminds me of the tubes of Neutrogena or Gillette gel.

Scent

They call the scent Invigorating Aqua. I am not sure I really get the aqua reference. I am sure I am missing what they are referring to. It is a slightly musky scent. I would defiantly say masculine, especially compared to the other KMF fragrances.

Lather

Kiss My Face Natural Man looks very much like KMFs other creams. Because of this, I had pre-defined expectations of its performance. I find that this stuff does not lather as well as other KMF creams. I smeared a large almond sized dollop on my face and face lathered with my badger brush. It worked OK, but the lather did not seem to want to hold much water.

Glide/Slickness

This is where Kiss My Face Natural Man started to tell me it was more of a brush-less cream than a latherer. Lathered, you have barely one stroke over any area before the blade started to skip and catch along your face. This is a very dis-concerning feeling. On a final pass, I decided to just rub some into my face and found that it performed better. It certainly isn’t the slickest cream out there.

Value

Bang for your buck, I would probably look elsewhere. I paid $6 US for this somewhat large tube of cream. But the performance forces me to use more and if you look to the left or right on the shelve, you will probably find a better performer.

Final Thoughts

I will have to use Kiss My Face Natural Man more to get a really good idea of what it is capable. That being said, if you are purchasing it thinking it will perform the same as KMF’s other creams, you may be disappointed. I will say, so far I am not happy with this product.
The only place I have been able to find Kiss My Face Natural Man online is from Well.ca in Canada. I wonder if this is just a trial run here in the US. Let me know if you have seen it anywhere else on the shelves.

Barely Beta

I hope this is just Kiss My Face's first formulation. With some input based changes, I would like to see a line of masculine fragrances based on their original cream formula.
